Mark your calendars on Sunday, September 8th. That’s the date of the Adams Morgan Day Festival 2019! This is Washington DC’s longest running neighborhood festival, now celebrating its 41st year of existence. It’s sure to be a day that is fun for the whole family.
Whether you are new in town or a longtime resident, this is your chance to meet the neighborhood. Local businesses will have their doors open to you, offering special deals for this day only. Artists and service organizations will be out in full force, too. Here, you will find local, handmade goods and nonprofits working for amazing causes. It’s everything you need to feel more connected to this fantastic part of the city. Of course, the soundtrack will come from the DC metro area, too. Expect a lineup as diverse as the city itself. Interested in lending a helping hand to the proceedings? You can volunteer by registering through the Festival’s official website. Attendance is free, and donations are welcome. The party kicks off at noon, and will run until 6pm.
