If you’re planning a trip to Italy in the near future, or you just want to learn more of this beautiful language, Conversational DC has you covered. On Wednesday, August 8th this club for language lovers will host an evening of conversation held entirely in Italian.
The Conversational Club meets regularly to give both new and native speakers of various languages a chance to ditch the English and converse entirely in a different language. The evening of Italian-speaking only will unfold at Colony Club from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Conversational DC makes sure that each happy hour event has a few facilitators—folks who are fluent in the language—so don’t worry if your Italian is choppy. The facilitators are there to keep the conversation flowing even when you stumble. And if you’d rather not speak at all, but just be a silent observer, grab a “Listener” sticker and just soak up the Italian language. The event is free, but food and drink are pay-as-you-go.
