Adults can have fun on Halloween, too, if they attend the Smithsonian National Zoo’s Night of the Living Zoo! Taking place Friday, Oct. 25, the event promises spooky costumes and a scary good time. The theme of this year’s party is a “dark carnival.” Purveyors of craft beer will be on hand to quench your thirst, while a live DJ provides the soundtrack. The city’s best food truck vendors will be there to serve up delicious bites, and a variety of performance artists will take the stage to dazzle and delight you. Don’t miss the “amazing oddities” show, which is sure to be thrilling. Being that it takes place in the zoo, we would be remiss to not mention that you can enjoy the animal houses and exhibits for two and a half hours after they are closed to the public.
Tickets for this event range from $30 to $40 for general admission, and $65 to $90 for VIP admission. Each VIP ticket comes with three complimentary drink tickets, while general admission tickets come with two.
