A good thing just got even better. As if Cathedral Commons wasn’t already filled with great shops, restaurants, and entertainment, seven new retailers have joined the community. Residents and neighbors alike will benefit from these wellness opportunities, services, and shopping destinations.
What’s New to Eat
Grilled Oyster Company is a seafood and steak restaurant that has taken its Potomac, Maryland offerings and brought them down to the District. Their calamari is a popular choice in addition to their fresh oysters. Try the fish tacos, applewood bacon wrapped trio, or spicy sausage, which all come highly recommended.
What’s New for Working Out
The Cathedral Commons community is clearly on the forefront of fitness opportunities in the area. Two new fitness studios feature some of the latest exercise trends, which have become popular nationwide for their proven results.
[solidcore] uses Pilates-inspired movements for a full body workout, and provides both group classes and private lessons. Their equipment tones and tightens your body in a vigorous workout, but the environment is notoriously supportive and encouraging.
Pure Barre is pure bliss for many fitness devotees, who quickly become addicted. It utilizes a ballet barre to implement small isometric movements at little to no impact on your joints.
Need clothes for all of these classes? Try Core 72, which is new to the District. It’s owned by a DC native, who provides a selection of personally curated activewear from a variety of brands. Many are women-owned and made in the USA.
New Shopping Spots
Wylie Wagg is a regional institution with high quality pet supplies for dogs, cats, small pets, and birds. They sell a variety of food brands, as well as premium toys and supplies.
Le Village Marche is expanding from its Arlington, VA location to bring French-inspired furniture, accessories, and even baby products to the area. This store has a distinct country French style that blends old and new sensibilities.
Services
Another community amenity, Parks Fabricare, offers easy to access dry-cleaning services. This family-owned and operated business provides eco-friendly cleaning, shoe shine and repair, and tailoring to area residents.
The Cathedral Commons community is only getting more exciting, with new offerings to ensure that you have everything you could want within reach. Enjoy your beautiful home, as well as everything around it, at Cathedral Commons.
