Chatter is the excellent new bar and restaurant that opened up just a few days ago on Wisconsin Avenue Northwest in DC. Regardless of what time of day you’re here, this establishment is a great place to eat, drink, and talk.
Chatter serves up a bevy of American gastropub-style dishes with aplomb. Every plate seems to have something unique about it, starting with the build-your-own bagels that are available for breakfast with toppings like dill cream cheese. On the dinner side, it’s hard to beat options like the shrimp and grits, which comes with smoked gouda and tasso ham cream sauce. Stop by on Thursday for the special, which is a slow-cooked Irish lamb stew with carrots, potatoes, polenta, and Guinness gravy. Speaking of Guinness, there are plenty of tasty libations to enjoy here, some of which are made all the better by the happy hour deals. When you can get $2 drafts and $5 house wines, you know you’ve struck gold.
