Wait until you hear the lineup for this year’s Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. Honorary Grand Marshal Anthony Anderson of ABC’s hit sitcom black-ish will lead a star-studded parade of celebrities, including Cece Peniston, The Voice’s Rayshun LaMarr, Miss America Nia Franklin, and many more. Add to that the floats, huge balloons, and nationally-renowned marching bands, and you have the perfect end to another beautiful cherry blossom season.
The Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is one of DC’s largest spectator events, and celebrates the unofficial start of spring for both locals and visitors alike. The parade is free and open to the public when you stand along the route on Constitution Avenue between 9th and 15th Street. Grandstand seating for $20 is also available. The Cherry Blossom Festival Parade happens Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to noon, but it’s best to get there early to hold your spot. Don’t miss the final weekend of the National Cherry Blossom Festival before the flowers disappear for another year!
