Passport DC celebrates the diverse community in your city with a month’s worth of internationally inspired programming and events. From tours of D.C.’s global embassies to special performances and festivals, the month of May holds a lot of culturally illuminating entertainment for you to enjoy.
On May 11th, for instance, embassies that represent European Union nations will open their doors wide to visitors. You’ll have the chance to go for a free tour and learn all about the European countries — some will even serve coffee, cocktails, or light bites. Then on May 18th, the Fiesta Asia! Street Festival will take over the area in front of Capitol Hill from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. In honor of Asian Heritage Month, you’ll find live performances, hot food, handcrafted works of art, and much more at the festival.
